Getting started: your first steps on the platform

This guide takes you from an empty browser tab to a working dashboard in four steps. When you have finished you will have a protected account, a connected exchange, monitoring that fits your plans and a clear idea of where to look each day.

You do not need to do it alone. Your personal manager can stay on the phone for any step.

The four steps

Each one takes between five and fifteen minutes.

Step 1: Register your account

Fill in the form on the account page with your name, email address and mobile number. A manager will call you within 24 hours to confirm the details and guide you through verification.

When you set your password, choose a long phrase you do not use anywhere else. Then switch on two-factor authentication straight away, ideally with an authenticator app, and store the backup codes somewhere that is not your phone. Details are on the security page.

Time needed: about ten minutes for the form and the security settings, plus a short call. Verification documents are uploaded afterwards and are covered by the KYC and AML policy.

Step 2: Connect your exchange

The platform works with an account you already hold at a supported exchange. In the exchange's security settings, create a new API key and give it permission to read balances and to trade. Leave withdrawals switched off.

Paste the key and secret into the connection screen. If your exchange allows it, restrict the key to our IP addresses, which your manager can give you. Test the connection and check that your balances appear before you carry on. If they do not, the most common cause is a permission that was not ticked.

Time needed: about fifteen minutes, mostly spent in the exchange's own settings. Never send the secret by email or chat, including to our staff. Your manager will ask you to type it into the connection screen yourself.

Step 3: Set up analysis and monitoring

Choose the trading pairs you want the platform to watch, such as BTC/USDT or ETH/USDT, and set the conditions under which a strategy may act: how much capital it can use, the largest single position and the loss level at which it stops.

Then decide how you would like to be told about activity. Alerts can go to email or to your phone, and you can ask for a daily summary rather than one message per event. Starting with fewer pairs and tighter limits is a sensible way to learn how the system behaves.

Time needed: about fifteen minutes. You can change every setting later, so there is no need to get it perfect on the first attempt.

Step 4: Review and manage

The dashboard shows balances, open positions, recent actions and a simple performance chart. Use it once a day at a fixed time. The audit history lists every login and every settings change, so you can confirm that what you see matches what you did.

From the same screen you can pause a strategy, change its limits or end it. Changes take effect on the next decision cycle, and anything already executed stays as it is.

Time needed: a few minutes a day. Many clients check in once in the evening and again after a major market move, which is enough for the system to be supervised without turning it into a full-time job.

If something does not work

The same handful of small issues cause most delays in the first week. Check these before you contact support, or send them to us and we will fix them with you.

Words you will see on the dashboard

Balance

The value of the assets and cash in the connected account at the moment you open the page, shown in the currency you chose.

Position

An amount of one asset that a strategy currently holds, including its entry price and unrealised gain or loss.

Limit

A rule that caps what a strategy may do, such as the largest single trade or the loss at which it stops.

Important notes

  • No guaranteed profit. Automation helps with monitoring and discipline. It does not remove market risk and it cannot promise a result.
  • You can lose money. Only use funds you can afford to lose and read the risk disclosure.
  • The decisions are yours. You choose the plan, the limits and whether to continue. Support explains, it does not advise.

A sensible first week

Day one: verify and secure the account. Day two: connect the exchange and review balances. Days three to five: run one strategy with the smallest limits and watch what it does. At the end of the week, read the activity report with your manager and decide what, if anything, to change before you commit more.

If at any point you feel rushed, slow down. Nobody at Finorix Pro will mind. Keep a short note of what you changed and why, because it makes the conversation with your manager at the end of the week much more useful and gives you a record to learn from.
